Summer Olympics 2008

I'm rooting for Vietnam because that is where I'm from but I doubt we can get any medals. Other than that, I'm rooting for US, esp. in basketball game

The opening was amazing. I loved the drums, but the men in the green suits were a little odd though.
Im not really rooting for a country or anything I'd like to see one of those countries that have never won a medal to win a medal. I think that be really cool. Unlikely, but cool.

I just watched mens basketball today! It was fantastic.
Im thinking about rooting all of them.

w00t America beat China in basketball...and Croatia upset Australia (who i had picked second) today.

I was hoping that China won the basketball since I'm Chinese but at the same time, I didn't mind USA winning since I'm Chinese-American.

Im pretty sure USA will win the whole thing.

Anyone saw the Swimming 4x relay? It was amazing at the end where USA was behind France but at the last second, USA got the gold medal and France got Silver. USA won by 0.08 seconds.

I had to watch diving, and gymnastics with 3 guys.

One of the male Japanese did well on the bars. Of course that was a couple days ago. Still cool.

I watchd the gymnastic China girl who won the Gold Medal ystd,

I watched the relay, and was happy when US won it by .08 seconds.
and it turned out that my brother saw the score on internet in advance.

Swimming has been really good this year. Lots of records being broken. Very exciting to watch. Its so easy to lose track of time watching the olympics, sit down and watch next thing you know its 3 hours later!

mens white water kayaking bronze medal was awarded to a country (man the name has slipped...I cant remember) that has never had a medal before.

the reason why USA couldn't win basketball in 4 years ago was because they didn't bring their professional players. this year they brought them.

Yeah, USA has been doing quite well in swimming this year. Go Phelps.

US beat everyone by several seconds in relay.

Why? Other countries are using professional athletes in the NBA. Yao Ming is probably the best player on the China team, and the Aussies have one of the better players in the NBA.
