Antola and Foltaggio go to a picnic together. At noon, they decide to have lunch. Both take out the food they have brought. Antola brought 4 pieces of sushi while Foltaggio has 7 pieces. Before they eat, Orrin has passed by and said he is hungry and asked if they could share the food with him. Antola and Foltaggio agree to share and split the food into 3 equal amount and they have lunch together.

After lunch, Orrin has to go and to give them 11,000 NPs to thank for the food. Antola says that since they both share the food, how about split the NPs in half (which means each get 5,500 NPs). However, Foltaggio says that he has more food, therefore he should get 7,000 NPs while Antola should get 4,000 NPs.

Foltaggio should receive more of the neopoints, but they are both wrong.

Together they have 11 pieces of sushi. If they divide it up into equal amounts, they all eat roughly 3 and 2/3s pieces of sushi. If Antola eats 3 2/3 pieces then she will give only 1/3 of a piece of sushi to Orrin. If Foltaggio eats 3 2/3 pieces then he will give 3 1/3 pieces of sushi to Orrin. This means that Foltaggio gave 10 times more to Orrin than Antola did. If they were to split it up fairly then they would have to split it up 10,000 NP to Foltaggio and 1,000 NP to Antola.(roughly) It would have to keep then 10 to 1 ratio for it to be fair payment.
